those who don't teach
(talk...
walk...
walk that talk eh?
lemme see you walk that talk)

some puff headed youngster could talk
while some ol' fella would write
both fell short of somethin'?
both missed the mark?

did they both do what they say in the first place?
or were they havin a cuppa coffee?
that's when life would make much more sense
talking about the past-tense, learning for what's next!

(but with what's right and wrong
there's not a point of start unless we talk
first with dogma, then arts, then on the kitchen table
let's start with, is anything wrong with anything?)

see that rhyme broken?
see that sense still talking?
just write says my mind to my hand
then after thinking, we better start doin, so the point of talkin'!

guess i still do the same ol' thang
talk in broken thoughts and lines
all of which converge nonetheless
to where the state of mind begins

what do you believe? start with life and death
what's your role in it? active or lethargic?
what's your status in fulfilling that role?
in the end, does it free you, does it ever do?
